C&C Extension HomemakersPublished Wednesday, May 5, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneC&C Extension Homemakers met April 22 at Cale City Hall. 14 members answered roll call. Each member brought a donation for the Cancer Society. Members enjoyed a potluck supper before going into business. A booth for the county fair was discussed. Erma Martin, Margaret Barham and Mary Reaves were appointed as a planning committee. President Ann Loe reminded members of the spring council meeting April 29 and the part of each member on the program. After the meeting adjourned Mary gave instruction on silk ribbon embroidery. Articles dated December 1981 through May 2001 were contributed by Ragsdale Printing Company, Inc. Articles June 2001 to ? were contributed by Better Built Group, Inc. Articles ? to October 2008 were contributed by GateHouse Media. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
