MARGUERITE WILLIAMS
Published Wednesday, January 31, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune

I was under the weather last week with an infection and my blood pressure too low. I think it was due to antibiotics, but for a few days I was not able to navigate. We just don't know how to appreciate good health until we don't have it.

I did not attend church Sunday morning, but the report is a good crowd and a very inspiring sermon about Peter. Bro. Mark and his wife Stacy were our guests after church. Bro. Mark's mother of Hope was a guest in church Sunday.

Mrs. Odeal Dillard of Pinehope Nursing Home in Hope had a light stroke last week. She was taken to the hospital and then taken back to the home. Roscoe and I visited with her the day I went to the doctor.

We extend our sympathy to the family of Mary Jim (Sutton) Hutson. She passed away this past week. Funeral was Tuesday morning at the Methodist Church in Hope. Roscoe and I went to school with her. She is related to Roscoe and to Dail Evans of Willisville.

Doug and Rhonda Morgan were our guests on Friday afternoon. We had fish plates for supper from Merna's in Willisville. They really have good fish.

Bill Freeman has been in the heart hospital in Little Rock most of last week. He got to come home on Friday, but had to go back Monday for a treatment. Their guest this weekend was Bill's sister, Aunt Dolly, from near Mt. Pleasant, Texas. They still need our prayers. The trips are so hard on Bill, but the treatment always make him feel better.

We also send sympathy to the "keepers" of Columbia Lake at Magnolia. Barbara's mother passed away this week. Funeral will be Tuesday in Taylor at Jerry Evans' Church.

Paul and Dot Broussard went to Ft. Worth for the past two days visiting with Josie Rollins, formerly of Rosston. The report is she is doing fair.

Our granddaughter, Ginger, was our guest on Tuesday for a few hours and on Wednesday night we had supper with son Jim at the Fish Nest in Prescott.

Grace like the Lord, the giver, never fails from age to age. What would we do without God's grace and love? Where would we be?
