PMS Performs King TutPublished Wednesday, May 5, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Prescott Middle School Art II and eighth grade advanced English recently performed the original play King Tutt. It was directed by Shay Farris, the art teacher at the school. Dawn Higgs, the eighth grade English teacher, also helped with preparations for the play. The students worked hard to build the sets and write the script. The play was performed for the students in kindergarten through the eighth grade during school on April 22 and 23. At 7 p.m. on April 23 there was a performance for the public. The money that was earned and the money that was donated by Tri-Service and Firestone was used to buy new curtains and a light and sound system for PMS. Ashley Woods, who played the character Maud in the play, said, "Being in the play was really good experience for all of us." Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
