My news is scarce this week. We were called to Missouri where Jeanie's father is in the hospital after suffering a stroke. They are still evaluating him and we hope to know more about his condition soon.

Bill Sellers was out washing his boat one day last week, so his back is feeling better. I told him not to pick up anything too heavy. He says a rod and reel would not be too heavy, but I cautioned him that he might catch a big fish. He said Kay could land the fish if he caught one.

Funeral services for Mrs. Christine Barlow DeWoody Page were held one day last week with burial in Bluff City Cemetery.

I know many of you who read this column remember Hartwell Irvin from Camden who once lived in the old Gooseankle community. He is now with his daughter in Garland, Texas, and I'm sure he would love to hear from some of his old friends. If you would like to send him a card, his address is 2710 Wembley Dr., Garland, TX 75041.

Here's something Linda Carman might like. The definition of a beauty shop is a place where women go to curl up and dye.
