Ralph S. SandersHERNDON FUNERAL HOME of HOPEPublished Wednesday, January 31, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune Ralph S. Saunders, 72, of Hope died Friday, January 26, 2001, in Little Rock. Mr. Saunders was born December 9, 1928, in Sutton to Barton M. and Erma Waters Saunders. He was a retired buyer and seller of railroads, member of First Methodist Church of Hope, Century Bible class and a 50-year Mason and Evergreen Lodge 175. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John Lewis Saunders and James Saunders. Survivors include his wife, Billie T. Saunders of Hope; a daughter, Dana Miller of Nevada County; three grandchildren, Rachel Lyn Miller, Aliza Jane Miller and Hunter Saunders Hawthorne, all of Nevada County; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday, January 28, in the Herndon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Davis Thompson officiating.
