The senior adult center has been a busy place during the month of January. We have been doing congregate assessments and first of the year work. We have also been signing up council memberships for 2001.

We have several of our members, Bennie Freeman, Eulah Wilson, Junior Thrasher and Gladys Sherman, who are in the hospital. Gertrude Cooper is in the nursing home, recuperating from a broken hip. We wish them all the best. Our love and prayers are with them.

Our monthly council meeting was the 16th, some played a ring toss game and Beatrice Stafford played the piano for group singing on Friday.

Our Valentine King and Queen contest is still progressing. This is one of the center's fund-raising projects.

The monthly birthday party will be Jan. 24 and show and tell on Thursday and Friday. Come and join us.

The center is a program of the Central Arkansas Development Council and a United Way Agency.
