Willisville NewsGERTRUDE HENRYPublished Wednesday, January 17, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune We will miss Carolyn Loe from working at Tommy Rae and Myrna's store. God has blessed her to get a position at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. Sylvia Miller will replace her. There will be a musical benefit program for Velma Pearson at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Willisville Saturday night, January 27, at 7 p.m. Rev. J.C. Owens is the pastor. Guest will be the Christian Believers of Hope, the Young Singers and the Delta Spirituals. The program is sponsored by The Spiritual Wonders of Nashville. On the third Saturday morning February 17 at 8:30 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church will have its fourth anniversary prayer breakfast with Sis. Bobbie Owens will be the speaker. The morning theme is Prayer. Rev. J.C. Owens is the pastor. Elder Fort of St. James COGIC was in a car accident. He is in the hospital in Little Rock. We're praying for a speedy recovery for him. Allen B. (Jack) Elliot has returned home from the hospital and doing fine. Pamela Young was voted 2000-2001 Nevada High School homecoming queen.
