Golden OldiesDORIS VANCEPublished Wednesday, January 17, 2001 in the Gurdon Times The Gurdon Senior Adult Center would like to thank the city employees for cleaning and salting the parking lot for us. It was greatly appreciated. The members have started attending again. Some were out because of the terrible weather we had. Some ladies went to the Fly Wheel Pie Shop to purchase some pies last week. Friday they took a trip to Benton and shopped at Puff's. The center was closed Monday for the Martin Luther King holiday. Our Valentine's King and Queen contest is coming right along. Their votes are posted each week. We have been missing all our members. So this week has been a busy week. The square dancers danced Friday. The center really appreciates them. We have more activities planned for January. Come join us. The center is a program of the Central Arkansas Development Council and a United Way Agency.
