Artis and Sherri Meeks and family, Caithy Gentry and family of Delight, Troy L. and Ameshia Gentry and family of Texarkana, Lamar and Shana Brown and family of Arkadelphia and Aundrey and Deshia Gentry and family of Mineral Springs had their Christmas dinner with their mother, Margret Burton, of Gurdon on Dec. 30.

Vera Dean Allen-Nelson, her daughter and grandson visited her brothers, Tom Allen and Phillip Allen, of Gurdon on Sunday. They are from Ashdown.

Calvin Hughes of Toledo, Ohio, visited his mother, Mrs. Lois Hughes, and his brother, Toney Hughes, his sister, Patricia Perry, and her family of Fordyce, and other friends in Arkadelphia. They also visited Ms. Delores Hodge and Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Brown of Gurdon and Smithton.

Johnnie Allen, the wife of Phillip Allen, passed away Friday night. Funeral service arrangements are incomplete at this report.

The first Sunday night fellowship singing will be held at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Gurdon Sunday, Feb. 4, at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor.

The officers and members of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Okolona will celebrate their pastor and his wife, Rev. and Mrs. Rufus R. Hatley and family pastor's anniversary Sunday, Feb. 18, at 3:00 p.m. Everyone and all churches are welcome. Special guest will be Lonoke Baptist Church of Hope with Rev. Alvin Hunter, pastor and speaker. Rev. Rufus R. Hatley, pastor.

The third Sunday night fellowship singing will convene with Bethel A.M.E. Church of Gurdon Sunday, Feb. 18, at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Bro. Roosevelt House and Bro. Leodis Lyons in charge. Rev. Betty Gulley, pastor.
