Boughton

There will be a singing at Boughton Church Saturday night, May 8, at 7:00. The Rickey Harvey family will be the featured singers, but all singers and friends are invited.

I had a nice birthday last week. Our son Willie Hugh and his wife brought me a beautiful hanging basket, a beautiful delicious cake and hamburgers; they ate supper with us. I got five out- of-state telephone calls and a bunch of beautiful cards. Thanks for remembering.

Bro. Jerry Smith, Chloe Orrin's pastor, visited her last week.

Louise Crayne is home from Health South. Her sister, Lillian Crane, is staying with her. Her sister, Helen Buie, of Foreman has visited her also as well as her sons, Charles Robert and Jackie and his wife Debbie. I'm sure others visited too.

Jean (Munn) Gist spent Saturday night with Mary and Everett Orrin. Other visitors were Bill Peachey. Mary and Everett were involved with their 50th class reunion over the weekend.

Willie and I enjoyed having Joel and Juanita Ridgell of Camden, Texas, Elsie Elmore, Herbie Ridgell and granddaughter Ashley visit us Sunday afternoon. Saturday was Joel's birthday, so we celebrated a day late with cake, coffee and Coke.

Paul and Robin Ridgell spent the weekend in Fort Worth, Texas, visiting his mother, Doris Ridgell, his sister Boletta Crabtree and her husband, Terry.

J.D. and Mildred Kelly, Margie Lucas and Frank Wilson visited Mary Ann and J.D. Lucas during the week. J.D. was scheduled for cataract surgery Tuesday morning, May 4, at Texarkana.
