Willisville NewsGERTRUDE HENRYPublished Wednesday, January 10, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune Last week's news: Lisa Beard has been in St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana. She is home now recovering well. Della Mae Henry went to Bossier City to spend Christmas with her granddaughter. Versie Mae Beasley has been under the weather. We're praying for a speedy recovery for Leonard Black. Velma Pearson, long time resident of Willisville, lost her home due to an electrical fire. We would like to thank the entire utility department for a job well done during the ice storm. Bro. Allen (B. Jack) Elliott is in Medical Park Hospital in Hope. The Pleasant Grove MBC family would like to thank pastor Rev. John C. Owens for his dedication and loyalty to our church and community. He has been with us for one year. He has organized a summer youth program for our church and community. We hope he will continue to lead and guide us in God's way. This week's news: Others who helped during the power outage were Odell and Paula's and Tommy Ray and Myrna Waters, who were there for us. Even though they were using their generators, they still made it possible for us during the outage. Robert and Kelly Davidson are the proud parents of a baby boy, Zachary Lane, who was born Thursday, December 28, 2000. He weighed nine pounds 5= ounces and was 21= inches in length. Mr. Clyde Wilcox from the community also helped during the ice storm by giving out water to those who needed it. Everyone in the community gives thanks for the help of these people. May god continue to bless you all. Gayla and Wayne Nicholar and family from Flowery Branch, Ga., Berry and Sarah Waters and family from Coppell, Texas, along with their other children, Amy and Kelly Chambers and Austin from Nashville and Ted and Gaye Waters of Willisville were at Gaylon and Kay Waters for the holidays. Gurth Lee Ingram is not doing too well. He is in ICU in Medical Park Hospital in Hope. Pray for him and his family. Our thought for the week is: God does not ask you to go where he does not lead.
