Fair Hill NewsBARBARA CORNELIUSPublished Wednesday, January 10, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune I apologize for not having the news the past two weeks. Maybe I can get back on track now that the bad weather has gone. Speaking of bad weather, that was awful. We sure learned a few things about roughing it. I can imagine how it was back in the good ol' days. Thanks to Lindsey Blevins and all the linemen who worked day and night on restoring power. Jake Cornelius, Steve Smiley and Larry Jones put a lot of hours in at the city of Prescott during the outage. There were some who had a good time playing around in snow and ice. Al Formby, Kim Overton and Josh McKinnon were riding inner tubes pulled by Al's Jeep. They said that was really a lot of fun. Clancey Cleveland spent Friday and Saturday night with his cousin, Aaron Morton. They were also riding a tire pulled by a Bronco on the snow. Hannah Cleveland came up Saturday and she also joined in the fun. Abby and Tracy Morrow spent the holidays with their daddy and husband, Chris Morrow, at San Diego, Calif., where Chris is stationed. Happy belated birthdays to Jayne Morrow. She didn't mention her age. Christmas Eve was her big day. The family spent Christmas with Jeff, Miki and kids who live in Benton. Aaron Morton spent Christmas with his dad, Mike Morton, and Tuesday and Wednesday with his Uncle Ernie Morton and family. Christmas Day Mike and Marcia Jo Ridling had dinner at their house, Jim and Sue Cornelius, Neil, Sonja and Morgan Ridling, Donna Carter, Bill Martin, Brandon Tullis, John Cornelius, Martha Steed, Lynn, Melanie and Ty Cornelius, Tom and myself enjoyed the visit and a wonderful dinner. Have a wonderful week. Remember, Fairhill residents, give me a call if you have some news. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
