The Martin Luther King celebration will be held at Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Arkadelphia Monday, Jan. 15, at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Rev. Louis Sheppard, pastor.

The First Sunday night fellowship singing will be held at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Gurdon Sunday, Feb. 4, at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor.

Jerry Hatley and his three kids, Elizabeth, Jousha, and Jeremy Hatley, of Texas visited his parents, Jim and Odessia Hatley, his grandmother, Mae Cook, his sister, Barbara Keaton, and daughters, his Aunt Erma Buford and family of Burtsell, his aunts and uncles, Andy and Christine Hatley, of Beirne Leonard and Eloise Hatley of Chidester, Fred Hatley of Gurdon, other relatives and friends of the surrounding area during the Christmas holidays.

Brendiel L. Hatley and Dianne Hatley of Battle Creek, Mich., visited their parents, Jim and Odessia Hatley, grandmother Mae Cook, sister, Barbara Keaton, and daughters, her son, Michael, and Anita Hatley and granddaughters of Arkadelphia, other aunts, uncles and relatives. They also attended their aunt's funeral, Christine Beard of Burtsell, over the holidays.

Floyd and Margree Gatlin of Gurdon accompanied her daughter, Mammie L. Gatlin, and daughter from Houston, Texas, to New Orleans, La., for the wedding of their son, Paul R. Gatlin, over the holidays.

Laura Grigsley of Burtsell spent the holidays with her son, Hura D. and Brenda Grigsley and family in Hot Springs.

April (Hatley) and her husband Jon's of Michigan visited her parents, Rufus and Dianne Hatley, brother Rufus Hatley Jr., her grandmother, Mary Bell of Gurdon, other relatives and friends. Talk to her grandmother, Jerine Hatley, over the phone, her sister, Zameka Hatley, of Arkadelphia, her kids, Alonzo, Leeker and Mayra, his grandparents, Allie Rene Snowden, and other relatives and friends in the Antoine community, and her grand-dad, Fred Hatley, of Gurdon.

Mr. Joe Welch underwent surgery at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock and is reportedly doing better.

Mrs. Birdie Quarles of Smithton is on the sick list and reported to be doing much better.

Mrs. Eloise Daniell, her children, Shemika and Tamika Butler, and DeBreaka Jones of Milwaukee, Wis., and cousin visited her Aunt Mary Gulley of Reader, her cousins, Louise Cook, Mae Helen Dickens, Douglas Walker, Linda Kadiri, Brenda Walker, Ulysses Richie, Verdie Riches and her Uncle Floyd Traylor, all of Gurdon over the holidays.

Mr. Precy Henry of Los Angeles, Calif., visited his mother, Mrs. Allie Mae Ollison of Hot Springs, other sisters and brothers and other relatives of Gurdon.
