College News - Williams & WardPublished Wednesday, January 10, 2001 in the Gurdon TimesJeffrey L. Williams of Gurdon and David Brant Ward of Okolona, both students at Henderson State University, have been named to the Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges 2001 edition. The directory names students who have been selected at national outstanding campus leaders. Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory have included the names of these students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
