Arlie A. CraigRUGGLES - WILCOX FUNERAL HOME of ARKADELPHIAPublished Wednesday, January 10, 2001 in the Gurdon Times Arlie A. Craig, 87, of Curtis died Saturday, December 30, 2000, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Mr. Craig was born March 3, 1913, in Fendley, the son of the late Charles Jefferson and Maudie Roberts Craig. He was retired from the Human Development Center in Arkadelphia and later worked heavy equipment with Reynolds Metals Company. He was a charter member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and a deacon and current member of First Baptist Church of Curtis. Mr. Craig was preceded in death by his wife; Anna Beatrice Chitwood Craig, two brothers and six sisters. Survivors are two sons, Jerry Craig of Malvern and James Craig of Alexander; two daughters, Kathy Williams of Okolona and Joyce Craig of Curtis; one sister, Amy Jester of Wiley, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 3, 2001, at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home with Bros. Frank Henson and Bill Cato officiating. Interment was in Hart's Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Curtis.
