Horace JonesSHACKELFORD FUNERAL HOME of PRESCOTTPublished Wednesday, January 10, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune Horace Jones, 93, of Prescott died Saturday, December 30, 2000, at Hillcrest Care and Rehab. Mr. Jones was born October 9, 1907, in Prescott to Arthur Preston and May Felts Jones. He was a retried president of Christopher Oil Co., a member of the Church of Christ and an elder in the church. He was also a long time member of the Prescott Rotary Club. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Mae, in 1997. Survivors include his daughter, Sue Jones Pollock of Prescott; two grandchildren, Cary and Scott Pollock; five great grandchildren, Cara Pollock, Maxwell Jones Pollock, Lauran Pollock, Will Pollock and Chelsea Pollock. Funeral services were Tuesday, January 2, at the Prescott Church of Christ with Gene Cloer officiating.
