Beth McAteer

Beth McAteer, 47, of Bodcaw died Saturday, December 30, 2000, at Christus St. Michael Health System of Texarkana, Texas.

Mrs. McAteer was born February 23, 1953, in Hope to J.W. and Norma Jean Bobo. She was a former school teacher with the Nevada School District, having received her masters from Henderson State University in English and history. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Hope. Mrs. McAteer was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Jean Bobo.

Survivors include her husband, Gary McAteer of Bodcaw; a son, Luke McAteer of Bodcaw; a daughter, Shannon McAteer of Bodcaw; her father and his wife, Rev. J.W. and Virginia Bobo of Monticello; a brother, Rev. Jimmy Bobo of Sheridan; a sister, Linda Reddock of Crowville, La.; and five nieces and nephews, Lydia Reddock, John Andrew Reddock, Destiny Reddock, James Bobo and Misti Bobo.

Funeral services were Monday, January 1, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope with Rev. Bobby Ragan officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery in Bodcaw under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.
