Marguerite McGough Henley, 82, of Laneburg died Tuesday, January 2, 2001, at her home.

Mrs. Henley was born September 27, 1918, in Laneburg to R.B. and Lillie Rodgers McGough. She was a homemaker, a former school teacher in Laneburg and Reeder Schools, a former employee of Hope Proving Ground and AT&T Telephone Company. She was a member of Laneburg Baptist Church. Mrs. Henley was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Edgar Henley, who died August 30, 2000.

Survivors include one brother, James B. McGough and his wife Peggy of Laneburg; a special caregiver, Christine Dalton of Prescott; and several nephews.

Graveside services were held Thursday, January 4, in Laneburg Cemetery with Rev. David Hampton officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
