Alice N. WardBRAZZEL / CORNISH FUNERAL HOME of PRESCOTTPublished Wednesday, December 20, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Alice N. Ward, 99, of Prescott died Saturday, December 16, 2000, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. Mrs. Ward was born August 22, 1901, in Hempstead County to William and Mattie Shuffield Nolen. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church in Blevins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Ward, who died in October 1985. Survivors include one son, P.H. Ward of Prescott; one sister, Imogene Royston of Hope; one grandson, Phil Ward of Little Rock; and one great grandson, Steve Ward of Little Rock. Graveside services were held Monday, December 18, at Bethel Cemetery in Blevins with Rev. Harold Presley and Rev. Paul Choate officiating.
