Willisville NewsBY GERTRUDE HENRYPublished Wednesday, December 20, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune As of December 17 parts of this area's power had been restored after everything was knocked out last week from the ice storm. We're praying that the electrical power will soon be restored throughout the community. Services for 97-year-old Gladys Henderson of Willisville was December 17 under the direction of Lewis Mortuary. Services were held in the chapel. Mrs. Roberta Askew has passed away, but services are incomplete at this time. Vera Craven's grandchild is sick in California. Emma Paden Thomas' grandchild is in the hospital with pneumonia in Milwaukee, Wis. Theartis Push-up' Wallace of Dallas, Texas, had surgery last Thursday. He is home and recovering well. Let us keep them and the other sick and shut-in in our prayers. Due to the power outage on the third Sunday, Pleasant Grove Baptist Church was unable to have morning services. Therefore, they will have morning service on the fourth Sunday morning, December 24. December 31, the fifth Sunday, Pleasant Grove will travel to Harrison Chapel in Waterloo for morning services.
