Hawthorne Earns Degree

Joyce Hawthorne, a former Gurdon resident, graduated from Pima Medical Institute in Denver, Colo., October 27.

Hawthorne was on the dean's list and received several awards, including the Directors Award, Perfect Attendance Award and Honor Roll Award with a 4.0 GPA.

She now lives in Westminister, Colo., with her husband Jimmy Hawthorne and three children, Adrienne, Regina and Jimmy Hawthorne Jr.

Mrs. Hawthorne is the daughter of Wilmer Page and the late Lillie P. Page of Rosston. She is the daughter-in-law of James and Fannie Hawthorne of Gurdon.
