Alice Lavern Murrah, 89, of Prescott died Wednesday, December 6, 2000, at Hillcrest Care and Rehab in Prescott.

Mrs. Murrah was born June 25, 1911, in Nevada County. She was a homemaker and a member of Harmony Methodist Church at Sutton. Mrs. Murrah was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Murrah, and a daughter, Helen Wilson.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Charles Wilson, Teresa Wilson and Barbara Joy Wilson; five great grandchildren, Timothy Sager, Armanda Sager, Brandy Denise Milligan, Kristen Wilson and Kelsey Wilson; two brothers, J.C. Martin of McNeil and George Martin of Kilgore, Texas; four sisters, Betty Franklin, Juanita Goodwin, Nadine Tinsley and Sue Green all of Waldo; a special niece, Mary Allie Johnson; and a number of other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 9, in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with Bro. Eric Goble officiating. Burial was in Harmony Cemetery at Sutton under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
