Rosston NewsMARGUERITE WILLIAMSPublished Wednesday, December 13, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Bro. and Mrs. Mark Faulkner were our guests in church Sunday. Bro. Mark brought two inspiring messages. About 15 youths carried took them to lunch and then they attended the living Christmas tree in Camden at Emanuel Baptist Church. Rhonda (May) Morgan, Doug and daughter Lindsay performed in the group that made up the tree. They came back to the church, popped corn and had fellowship until time for church. Bro. Mark and wife Stacy will be back for services next week. They all reported a good time in the Lord. The youth of our church will present a Christmas program next Sunday night with refreshments afterward. Max Morman remains in St. Michael in Texarkana. He has had three radiation treatments. Remember him, Lyn Dean and family when you pray. Roscoe and I attended the Gaither Christmas homecoming at the Alltel Arena in Little Rock Thursday night. Edna and Johnny Kelly and Janie Franklin and Lairy and Brenda Hart also attended, along with many thousands of other people. It was really a blessing. Friday we traveled on to Imboden and spent the night with J.T. Adams. His health is still without any voice, but it was good to see him and visit. We finished our Christmas shopping in Little Rock. Dot and Paul Broussard had Christmas dinner Sunday for part of the family from Texarkana. Sue Dixon had lunch with them. Ila Carpenter and daughter Alice of W. Monroe, La., recently visited Ila's brother in north Arkansas and then went on to Branson, Mo., for a day or two. Granddaughter Allison and a friend from Dallas met them there and attended several shows with them. They report a good time. Roscoe and I visited Odeal Dillard in Pinehope in Hope on Wednesday. Aunt Artie Hart was in the hospital with pneumonia, but she was better Sunday. Bill Lusby came home Wednesday from the El Dorado Hospital. Delton Bustin was in Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock for a few days having tests run. The Goodwin reunion was Sunday at Whites Chapel Church. They report a good number and a good time. A little faith will bring your soul to heaven, but a lot of faith will bring heaven to your soul. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
