Ira W. Harris' funeral was held Wednesday, November 29, at St. John AME Church in Pine Bluff. Rev. W.R. Norful is the pastor. Mr. Harris served as a vocational agriculture teacher at Rosston for 21 years. He attended Bethel AME Church as a member under L.J. Johnson and others. He hardly missed a Sunday. He was a very generous giver. He and his wife helped us in so many ways. They were both good people to be around. Attending his funeral from Rosston were Milton Lowe, Haynie Jackson, Edd Sanders, Therman Lindsey, Lessly Box, Benora Box, Lula Q. Kendrick, Richard Young, Janet Smith and Lula E. Williams.

Mr. Harris was a good advisor. He had many white friends. They would ask me about them often. He had people coming from foreign countries to learn about feeding his pig project.

Jessie Simpson's funeral was held Saturday, Dec. 1, at Hope Fellowship Ministries with pastor Jimmy Malone officiating. Burial was at New Salem Cemetery in Rosston under the direction of Brandon's Mortuary of Hope.

Mr. Ezra Muldrow's funeral was Thursday at St. Peter AME Church in Willisville.

Grady Burnell had his foot amputated last week. He is in the nursing home in Prescott. His wife Geneva is not able to do anything at the present. Her daughter Gracie and daughter Glora Young is about to run themselves to death.

Sis. Girtie Blake is still in rehab in Hope. Jessie James Gulley was to have heart surgery Monday. Let's pray for all the sick and shut-in. I am holding on trying to make it.

The new pastor of Oak Grove really did preach good. He told it just like it was years ago. This text helped me to help somebody. His wife and daughter were guests, Bracy Tidwell from Hot Springs.

Dave Coleman really can play the guitar. He moved back home from Rockford, Ill. You can tell he went to church there. The choir was decked out in robes. They really looked nice and sang really good.

Vernon Bazzelle, formerly of Rosston, passed away in Gary, Ind., Friday, December 8. Burial was in Los Angeles, Calif.
