C-Store Robbed Monday MorningBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, December 13, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune An in-and-out robber hit the Shell Superstop in Prescott around 2 a.m. Monday. According to Prescott Police Chief Sam Reeder, the suspect was described as a black male wearing a long white coat, hair net, red bandana, sunglasses and gloves. He is believed to be in his early 20s, and standing between 5-9 and 5-11. Reeder said Sharee Riley was the lone clerk on duty at the time. The suspect walked in, pointed a revolver at her, demanded all the money in the cash register and left. Riley was unable to tell officers which direction the robber went after leaving. The thief got away with an undetermined amount of cash. Because a weapon was used to perpetrate the crime, the aggravated robbery becomes a class Y felony, carrying a penalty of 10-40 years or life in prison. Anyone with any information about this crime is asked to contact the Prescott Police Department or Arkansas State Police. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
