Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon will present its Christmas program Sunday, Dec. 24, during the 11:00 a.m. worship services. We invite each of you. Sis. Rose C. Crow, youth director, and Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor. Mrs. Birdie Quarles accompanied the Martin Singers to Holly Springs Saturday night in the anniversary of the Emanuel Singers. It was a enjoyable and spiritual occasion. Mrs. Johnnie Allen and Mr. Harvey McCelland are still on the sick list. Minister Ray Thomas has returned home to Chicago, Ill., after spending time with his mother, Johnnie Allen, and her family. Evangelist Mabel Gardner of Los Angeles, Calif., daughter of Leodis and the late Naomi Lyons, visited over the Thanksgiving holidays in the home of her father with her son, Mannix Gardner, granddaughter, Salelis Gardner, her sister, Belinda Gentry, her nephew, Frazier Gentry of Gurdon, also her sister, Paquitta Hill and daughters, Kelsey and Kaitlyn of Arkadelphia, her niece, Tiffney Hughes, and her two daughters, Spenser and Cross of El Dorado. Sis. Gardner was visited by friends and other family members of Malvern and Gurdon. Evangelist Gardner left for her home in Los Angeles on Sunday, Dec. 3.
