Congratulations to Jim and Lori Shirron on their new baby boy. He was born Saturday and they named him Gabriel Eli. Mallory, his big sister, is really excited. Grandparents are Lindsay and Cheryl Blevins. Great grandma is Pauline Blevins.

Jeff, Nicole, Emma and Shelby Hall had Thanksgiving dinner with Nicole's grandmother, Margaret Buchanan. Nicole will be going back to the doctor in Texarkana Tuesday for some more kidney testing. Hope she gets a good report.

Dakota Ridling had his tonsils taken out here while back. He is doing fine. He returned back to school Monday.

Dillion Ridling was down for Thanksgiving. He and his dad, Gregg Ridling, did some hunting. Dillion killed his first deer. They all had Thanksgiving with Pauline Blevins.

Abby Collins, who is attending college in Nashville, Tenn., traveled to Memphis to pick up her dad, John Henry Collins. They came down to Thomas and Ruby Fontaine's for Thanksgiving. Good to hear John Henry is able to get out and about.

Grayson Morrow from Benton spent Thursday through Sunday with her grandparents, Larry and Janey Morrow.

Tony Overton and Jason Morrow went to Nashville to watch Nashville play Ozark Friday night.

Kim Overton has been sick for about a week with a bad cold. Monday she went to the doctor.

Brian and Betty Hendrix has a new addition to their family, a baby girl. Kacie Faith weighing five pounds, 12 ounces. Grandparents are David and Kay Hendrix and great grandma is Pauline Blevins.

We had a very special guest for Thanksgiving. We all met at Mike and Marcia Jo Ridling's. Our special guest was Irene Cornelius. As you know she is in the nursing home at Hillcrest. Lewis Cornelius, Aaron Morton, Neil Ridling, Jim and Sue Cornelius, John Cornelius, Tom and I all enjoyed a wonderful meal.

Henry Stuart had his Thanksgiving Sunday. His guests were Louise and David Walker and Johnny Stuart.

Thanksgiving evening Aaron Morton, Tony Overton, Al Formby, Kim Overton, Tom and myself had supper with my folks, J.W. and Maxine Glass, at Caney. Like always there was a house full; wouldn't have it any other way. We ate and ate. Sure am glad Thanksgiving comes only once a year.

Phenea Youngman had a birthday the 24th. Her age was not told. Happy birthday.

Tracy and Abby Morrow had Thanksgiving with her dad, Dr. James Powell, and his family.

Larry and Janey Morrow had Thanksgiving with her sister in Hope.

This week's news:

What a change in the weather we have been having. Now it is beginning to feel like Christmas.

Tracy and Abby Morrow attended the SMI Christmas party Saturday. They came home with some really nice gifts.

Dessie (Hendrix) Andrews passed away Monday morning in a Hot Springs hospital. She was visiting her relatives at Hot Springs when she suffered a heart attack. Mildred Hill, her sister, and other family members are in our prayers.

John L. and Lenora McWilliams made a trip to Branson, Mo., with the Trailblazers last week.

John Cornelius killed a 12-point Saturday morning. Way to go, John.

Larry and Jayne Morrow went to Texarkana to do some Christmas shopping last Saturday.
