Prescott Trailblazers Visit Branson Christmas ShowsPublished Wednesday, December 6, 2000 in the Nevada County PicayuneForty-four Prescott Trailblazers visited Branson, Missouri, over the weekend to view the Christmas Shows. Friday afternoon the group went to the Osmond Family Theater to see the group's spectacular Christmas show. The Osmond Brothers are celebrating over forty years in the entertainment industry. The Trailblazers had reservations Friday night at the Grand Palace Theater to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rocketts direct from New York. The group saw all the holiday favorites come to life in Parade of the Wooden Soldiers,' The Nutcracker A Teddy Bear's Dream,' Carol of the Bells,' and the awe-inspiring Living Nativity,' making this truly the world's biggest Christmas show. Saturday morning the group went to the Shoji Tabuchi Theater, the wonderful family Christmas show with a touch of class. Tabuchi is acclaimed as one of the greatest entertainers in the world. The group had reservations Saturday night to see The Promise, Branson's award-winning musical on the life of Jesus, the musical story of Mary and Joseph before the birth of Jesus. A devotional was given on the bus on Sunday morning by Billie Ridling, with singing of hymns led by Margie Johnson and Amber Pickett. Those making the trip were: tour director Sybil Sherman, Bobbie Gautsche, Mariam Purtle, Allene Spencer, Marie Eley, James and Ann Oliver, Margie Johnson, Bobbie Brown, Virginia Easterling, Billie Ridling, Georgia White, John L. and Lenora McWilliams and Amber Pickett, all of Prescott; Betty Bowdle and Billie Lockeby of Antoine; Virginia Latimer of Ashdown; Roy and Wanda Stewart of Benton; Virginia Barton of Delight; James and Leta Morrow and Grady and Canelia Hasley of Hope; George and Leola Garrard, Curtis and Carolyn Meyers, Scott and Mildred Langley, Jacque Lee, Marlene Smith and Maxine Lindsey, all of Magnolia; Mildred Johnson of Little Rock; Mary Adams of Sutton; Debbie Powers, Mary Virginia Thane and Thelma Bruggeman of Texarkana; Janice Farr of Sheridan; Peggy Butrick and Sue Cornwell of Summit, Mo.; Betty Warren of Humble, Texas; David Richardson of Shreveport, La.; and JoAnne Farr of Hot Springs.
