Classy Moments from Cabe Middle SchoolPublished Wednesday, December 6, 2000 in the Gurdon TimesWe were hoping to know who our president is by this time, but as you know we still do not have that information. It has been most interesting. So many different ideas of how this could be solved have been expressed. In fact some were good ones that might bring this confusion to a close. "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas," in our building, thanks to Mrs. Morehead, Mrs. Clark and Mrs. McKenzie. They have made several decorations to bring the Christmas spirit to Cabe Middle School. If there were others who helped with this, please forgive this writer for not listing your name, but just to know the work is available for all of us to see is certainly appreciated. Mrs. Bullard has had her students make string designs. Students have been seen with their cards, needle and thread. Finished products really look good. The CMS Student Council will be presenting a talent show Dec. 15 at 9:15 a.m. Students are being encouraged to be a part of the show. We do have a lot of talent at CMS and usually this is one of the most popular assemblies we have for a school year. Mrs. Hitt's junior high all girls choir shared several Christmas carols with the Rotary Club Wednesday. There are several members of that choir and they are really talented. Mrs. Hitt works hard with the students, as she brings out that talent that several do not know that they have. We will dismiss school December 15 at 1:00 p.m. to begin our Christmas vacation. We are to return on January 2. Can you imagine that we have almost completed one year of the year of 2000? Time seems to go by fast when you are making those Classy Moments at CMS.
