College News - HSU Graduation Set

Henderson State University's 2000 winter commencement will be Friday, December 15, at 6:00 p.m. in the Wells Center Gymnasium.Approximately 268 undergraduate and graduate students will be marching in the university's 111th commencement ceremony. Students graduating with a bachelors degree are Patricia Burnham, Kelly Camille Hines and Howard George Austin Jr. of Prescott

Candidates for the master's degree include Beverly Jo Stockton of Prescott.

Dr. Ken Green Jr., assistant professor department of business will provide the faculty charge for the schools of business and education, which march at 6 p.m. Dr. Rick McDaniel, assistant professor and chair of the physics department, will present the charge for the Matt Locke Ellis College of Arts and Sciences, which marches at 8;00 p.m.

Distinguished alumni to be recognized at the ceremony are Dr. James Jones, Bill Shirron and Marion Sebastian.

Ushers for the ceremony are Marshall Lloyd Jackson, Brian Grant, Amy Lowe, Marisa Padilla, Vernee Peaster and Katie Powell.
