Emmet Homecoming Is Friday Night

Emmet will have its basketball homecoming this Friday, December 1. The ceremony will start at 6 p.m. with the senior boys and the senior girls team playing afterwards.

Homecoming nominees were voted on by the high school student body. Seventh, eighth and ninth graders voted on junior high queen and tenth, 11th and 12th graders voted on the senior high queen.

Nominees for the seventh grade maids are Lauren Otwell, the daughter of Mike and Lori Otwell, to be escorted by Shane Otwell, the son of Steve and Vivian Otwell; and Danielle Freeman, the daughter of Tim and Jerri Freeman and Debbie Nix. Danielle, who will be escorted by Cody Jackson, the son of Steve and Deb Jackson.

Nominees for the eight grade maids are Felicia Hopson, the daughter of Eugene and Joyce Hopson, to be escorted by Bryant McClellan, the son of Kelvin and Wanda McClellan; and Monica Love, the daughter of James and Mable Love, to be escorted by Zach Hoover, the son of Tim and Wendy Hoover.

Nominees for ninth grade maids are Jeana Gutierrez, the daughter of Johnny and Karen Gutierrez, to be escorted by Dustin Turner, the son of Myles and Debbie Helmick; and Haley Muldrow, the daughter of Bernice and Marcia Muldrow, to be escorted by her brother, Dee Muldrow.

The junior high queen is Nicole McCoy, the daughter of Lawrence and Kathy McCoy. She will be escorted by Jacky Simmons, the son of Vickie and Jacky Simmons and by her brother, Lance McCoy.

Nominees for the 10th grade maids are Natoiya Reed, the daughter of Yolonda Reed, to be escorted by Chris White, the son of Gloria and Kyle Hudson; and Ashley Hodges, the daughter of Alvin and Jackie Hodges, who will be escorted by Jeremy Hunt, the son of Jeff and Denise Hunt.

Nominees for the 11th grade maids are Tonya Freeman, the daughter of Tim and Jerri Freeman and Debbie Nix, to be escorted by Jacob Dearinger, the son of Sherri and George Schmitt and Bill and Vicki Dearinger; and Cassandra Block, the daughter of Vernice and Ricky Block, who will be escorted by Devan McClellan, the son of Kelvin and Wanda McClellan.

Nominees for the 12th grade maids are Alexis Banks, the daughter of Connie Beard, who will be escorted by Nick Ward, the son of Kenneth and Cindy Ward; and Rose Martin, the daughter of Rosemary Martin, who will be escorted by Dee Muldrow, the son of Bernice and Marcia Muldrow.

Maid-at-large is Katie Davidson, the daughter of Karen Morrow and John Davidson. She will be escorted by Josh Putman, the son of Danny Putman and Denee' Hickman.

The senior high queen is Amanda Hodges, the daughter of Jacky and Alvin Hodges. She will be escorted by Jonathon Korenek, the son of Angie and Ronnie Fore, and by by Lee Harris, the son of Judy Harris.

Attendants from the kindergarten class for junior high are Quest Smith, son of Ray Smith, and Abby Wren, daughter of Kayce Booker and Tim Wren.

Senior high attendants are Heather Prince, daughter of Phillip and Janet Prince; Christian Johnson, son of Rodney and Billie Johnson; and Timothy Arnett, son of Billy Jo Arnett.

There will be a homecoming parade in Emmet Thursday November 30, at 5:00 p.m.
