Grand Opening Planned By New Owners Of Prescott Big Star

Prescott Big Star will be celebrating its grand opening next week with new owners, Gerald Maddox and James Womble. The grand opening begins Wednesday, December 6 with many fun and exciting events. Celebration will continue for two weeks.

"The store is planning to give away many prizes," says store manager Randall Blount, "including a washer and dryer, an upright Gibson freezer, a Sharp microwave and many other appliances."

The theme for the grand opening is Home for the Holidays.'

Along with all the fun and exciting activities, Prescott Big Star will be having special pricing throughout the store.

"We are having a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 6," adds Blount. The first 100 customers will receive a special prize. There will be prizes for children and adults alike, as well as special balloons to pop with great savings on groceries and possibly free cash.

Free food demonstration and taste testing will be other activities to enjoy while you shop at Prescott Big Star. Children will enjoy the free balloons and candy. KHPA Super Country radio will be doing a live broadcast on Friday afternoon and will have many free giveaways.

Other special giveaways are sponsored by Fleming Foods, Coca-Cola of Camden, Little Debbie, Hiland Dairy, Nabisco, Jackson Cookie Company, Pepsi-Cola of Texarkana, Mike Flowers Distributing, Frito-Lay, J.C. Potter, Harris Baking Company and many others.

We will also be giving away one free bag of groceries to some lucky 100 customers, Blount said. Registration on the free prizes will begin December 6 and will continue through December 20.
