John William ZepkaPublished Wednesday, May 12, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneJohn William Zepka, 80, of Wooster, Ohio, died Thursday, May 6, 1999, at his home. Mr. Zepka was born May 21, 1918, in Corry, Penn., to Valentine and Kathryn Walaski Zepka. He had been the credit manager for Ekers Wholesale Meats for 32 years, retiring in 1980. Previously, he had been the office manager for Beneficial Finance Company. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and a member of the Elks. Mr. Zepka had served with the U.S. Army during WWII during the Normandy invasion. He moved from Akron to Wooster in 1983. He was preceded in death by one sister, Julia A. Kurelowech. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ola Mae Sewell Zepka of Wooster, Ohio; one son, John W. Zepka Jr., and his wife, Kathy, of Lewisville, Texas; one daughter, Candace Holland, and her husband, Robert, of Orriville, Ohio; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Graveside services are today, Wednesday, May 12, at 10 a.m. at Sweet Home Cemetery near Prescott with Bro. Jerry Westmoreland officiating.
