Boughton NewsMRS. WILLIE HOOKSPublished Wednesday, November 29, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Congratulations to Chane Cummings. He killed a nice six-point deer during the weekend. We had a big weekend. Our sons, Willie Hugh, Charles, his wife, Marjorie and our grandson, Doug Hooks, came Friday and stayed until Monday. Saturday night Willie Hughe's family, Carolyn, Tammy, Steve, Wynn Scoggins, Cindy, Eric and Sam Webb and all of my family ate supper with us. Cathryn and Pete Jester had all of their family, Darlene and Joe Mae Young, Bobby and Breanna, Denise and Ricky Stubbs, Theresa and Courtney, Jimmy Joe Jester and Ricky, two sons, also Elsie Elmore and Winderleen Jester for Thanksgiving Day dinner. Everett and Mary Orren flew to Washington, D.C., and met their daughter, Linda, and her husband, Lyle, Brook, Craig and Arron for a week. They toured the White House and different tourists places sightseeing. Everett and Mary also celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Congratulations. Bill and Florene Peachey of Petonia, Md., formerly of Prescott, picked up Everett and Mary, their daughters and family for lunch and did some sight-seeing while they were in Washington. Robert and Sharla Orren of Hope brought Thanksgiving dinner and ate with his great grandmother, Chloe Orren. Other visitors during the week were Edgar and Wanda White and Shorty Garner. Chloe Orren and Lenord and Faye House enjoyed a nice fruit basket from the Assembly of God Church. Lenord and Faye House enjoyed having their son Sammy and his wife Kaye and their children, Jason and Lauren, for Thanksgiving dinner. Syble Brown had Thanksgiving dinner with her grandson, Mark Shelton, and wife, Donna, and Mark's mother, Judy, and Roy Allen. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
