David Ray HicksSHACKELFORD FUNERAL HOME of PRESCOTTPublished Wednesday, November 29, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune David Ray Hicks of Prescott died Tuesday, November 21, 2000, at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas. Mr. Hicks was born June 2, 1960, in Prescott. He attended Laneburg Elementary School and graduated from High School in Poplar Bluff, Mo., in 1978. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the submarine Robert E. Lee. Survivors include one daughter, Tygar Hicks of Sacramento, Calif.; a stepson, Willie Perce of Sacramento; his mother, Selma Zay Hicks of Prescott; his father, Dewey Hicks of Forrest City; a sister, Melody Fruen and her husband Bob of Glenwood; and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Sunday, November 26, at Central Baptist Church in Prescott with Marie Ross, Bob Fruen and Mack Wesson officiating.
