Golden OldiesDORIS VANCEPublished Wednesday, November 29, 2000 in the Gurdon Times I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving holiday. The center enjoyed a good meal Wednesday, Nov. 22. We are really proud of our cooks and kitchen staff. The center is planning a Christmas dinner for Dec. 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The price will be $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. The slate of officers and board members for 2001 are Dr. George Peeples, president; Jimmy Stiffler, vice president; and Doris Vance and Eulah Wilson, secretaries. Board members are Ann Boyce, Birdie Quarles, Harrell Everitt, Betty Jones and Ellis Stafford. We would love for all those 60 and over to come and visit us.
