Church of Gurdon will celebrate their pastor and his wife, Rev. and Mrs. Daniel Flemons, pastor's anniversary on Sunday, Dec. 3. Everyone and all churches are welcome. Special guest will be New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of the city with Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor and speaker. Rev. Daniel Flemons, pastor. Sis. Johnie Allen of Gurdon had a car accident last Wednesday enroute to Little Rock. She is in Southwest Hospital in Little Rock and not doing good. We ask for your prayers for her and her family. Your support is appreciated. May God bless each of you. She is the wife of Phillip Allen. Many relatives and friends enjoyed Thanksgiving Day with their mother, Mrs. Birdie Quarles of the Smithton community. Also, her granddaughters, Patricia and Kerry Jones, were home in Gurdon with her daughter, Shunn, and grandchild from Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Annette Harris and daughter of Los Angeles, Calif., visited her parents, Demetric and John T. Allen of Curtis, other relatives and friends in surrounding communities. Mrs. Dianne Hatley, Tomeka Hatley and children and Rufus Hatley Jr. of Gurdon and Arkadelphia have returned home after visiting her daughter, April, and her husband John of Michigan over the holiday, other relatives and friends. Also, Tomeka and Rufus, Jr.s sister, April. New Bethel Independent Church of Gurdon with Bro. Daniel Flemons, pastor, wish to invite you to a musical program Dec. 1, at 6:30 p.m. The musical will feature Traveling Echoes' and The Spiritual Connection.'
