Rose Garden Club

The Rose Garden Club met in the home of Ida Haynie on November 14 with Leona Ballard as co-hostess.

Betty Turner, president, presided over the business meeting. She told of taking a continuing education course at Henderson State University on Winterizing and Decorating Your Yard for the Holidays.'

Rex Dollar with Extension Service presented the program on Feeding, Pruning and Overwintering Container Plants.' He stated basically to get plants inside before frost. He brought several plants and showed how to prune them to keep the shape and size current. He gave each member a folder on how to fertilize and water the plants. The group enjoyed his program.

Pauline Hays brought a beautiful fall arrangements made with flowers grown in her yard.

The hostess served a delicious dessert.

The December meeting will be in the home of Nettie Lemons on December 12.
