Alma Sewell SmithLEWIS FUNERAL HOME of MAGNOLIAPublished Wednesday, November 22, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Alma Sewell Smith, 83, of Magnolia died Friday, November 17, 2000, at Meadowbrook Lodge Nursing Home in Magnolia. Mrs. Smith was born October 20, 1917, in Nevada County to the late Thomas Millard and Mary Elizabeth (Blackmon) Sewell. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clyde Smith; a son, Richard Beasley, and a sister, Delma Stocks. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Duzat of Texarkana, Ark.; three daughters, Elvis Sewell, Florence Cross and Marion O'Dell all of Willisville; two brothers, Jesse Willard Sewell of Willisville and Thomas H. Sewell of Mesquite, Texas; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Graveside services were held Monday, November 20, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Bro. Thedwell Sanders officiating.
