Ola Mae Chism, 86, of Hope died Saturday, November 18, 2000, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

Mrs. Chism was born April 5, 1914, in Sutton to Ira and Elizabeth McGough Smyth. She was a housewife and mother and member of Calvary Baptist Church of Hope. She was preceded in death by her son, Ray Easterling.

Survivors include two sons, Don Easterling of Monticello and Joe Chism of Prescott; three daughters, Pat McBride of Perrytown, Janice Milburn of Saratoga and Betty Ashmore of Hope; one daughter-in-law, Marylin Easterling of Texarkana, Ark.; one brother, Jim Crider of Lincoln; two sisters, Lois McClure of El Dorado and Joyce Caudle of Springhill; and nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 20, at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope with Rev. Scott Neathery and Rev. Austin Missey officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.
