BoughtonMrs. Willie HooksPublished Wednesday, May 12, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune Our hearts are saddened this morning thinking about the tornado train, bus and boat victims. May our dear Lord be with each one. Donald Ingersoll and three who I know about from Prescott Judy Shackelford, Maxine Freeman and Betty Turner have gone to Oklahoma City, Okla., with the disaster relief program to help the tornado victims there. Bro. Russell Mosley of Beirne preached at Boughton Church Sunday. Most of Mae Blount's children visited her Mother's Day weekend. Those having dinner and visiting Annie Mae Hooks Sunday were all of her children, Bill and Joyce Hooks, Agatha Cowart and Diane Blankenship, grandchildren Danny and Debbie Ashbrook and Whitney, Page Copeland Gaywin and Gary Golden, GiGi and Grant, and Mildred White. Becky and Richard Stivers, Deidrea and Amber visited Becky's mother, Patricia Ingersoll, Sunday and attended church with her at Boughton. Chloe Orren's grandson, Robert Orren, and his wife, Sharla, her son, Everette, and his wife, Mary, and Shorty Garner visited her during the weekend. Willie and I enjoyed Willie and Julene Hulan visiting us Thursday night. Kathleen Hooks and Richard Hubbard visited her mother, Cathrine Hooks, and Mae Blount Mother's Day. Don't forget to pray for Cathrine. She is very ill. Herbie Ridgell hasn't been feeling well. Sammy and Kaye House, Jason and Laurne spent Mother's Day with his parents, Lenard and Faye House. Louise Crayne has had quite a few visitors: Lenard and Faye House, Ruth Newths, Lillian Crane and her sons and family. Louise, I understand about broken hips. I hope you feel better soon. J. D. Lucas didn't have cataract eye surgery last week, but is scheduled for Tuesday of this week. Some of J.D. and Mary Ann's visitors were Theresa and Jewel Grifford, Lois McGill, Willie Hooks, Margie Lucas and Frank Wilson. Behavior is a mirror in which everyone displays his own image.
