Rosston NewsBY MARGUERITE WILLIAMSPublished Wednesday, November 15, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune We have had cousins from the state of Washington visiting all the cousins in and around Hope this week. On Thursday night 17 met at the Crossroad Buffet for supper and afterward most of them came to our house for a while. If all the cousins could have come it would have been well over 50, but due to shift work, ball games and so on we probably won't ever be together at one time until the Lord comes. We really did enjoy being with them. They had been touring Canada and the U.S. for almost three months and don't plan to be back home until Christmas. They live on Puget Sound. Ruth Vinson was taken back to rehab at St. Michael in Texarkana this week. Max Morman came home Saturday afternoon to wait test hearings. Ruth and Max are both having pain, so remember them in your prayers. The report of the biopsy on Bro. Jimonie Hart isn't good, so all these families need our prayers. Roscoe and I visited Odeal Dillard Friday. She is doing great most of the time, but she still needs our prayers. She is in Pine Hope Nursing Home. Go by to see her or send her a card. Sue Husser did a great job at the Ladies' Retreat at Rosston Baptist Church Saturday. If you missed it you missed a blessing. She spoke on The Complete Woman.' Tara Carlton was in charge of the fall decorations. Jeff and Tara Carlton rendered two beautiful specials in song in the morning services. Mrs. J.P. Janes was a visitor. We were glad to have her. They stayed and ate lunch with us at the church. Bro. W.C. Malone of Nashville and his wife will be with us next Sunday in view of a call. There will be a potluck meal, so bring a dish and come out to hear him and get acquainted. Don't let deer hunting stand in your way. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
