Parents and grandparents are welcome to visit Gurdon Primary School to see their child inducted into the Honors Club Thursday, Nov. 2, at 8:30 a.m.

The monthly diabetics meeting in the Extension Homemakers Kitchen at the Clark County Fairgrounds will be held Thursday, Nov. 9, at 2:00 p.m.

The Gurdon chapter of the Future Farmers of America will be selling holiday fruit boxes and quality meats until Saturday, Nov. 4. Contact an FFA member or call Gurdon High School for more information.

Steve and Angela Gammage of Gurdon proudly announce the birth of their daughter, Tori Alexis, born Saturday, October 21, 2000, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia.

Weighing six pounds and three ounces, Tori Alexis is welcomed home by sisters, Brittany and Kelsey. She was 18= inches long. Grandparents are Harold and Helen Pate of Bismarck, Mike and Frances Gammage of Gurdon, Debbie Pate of Prescott and Krystel White Cloud of Hot Springs. Great grandparents are Clyde and Maxine Covington of Prescott.

Stephanie Evans and Derek Anderson of Arkadelphia proudly announce the birth of their daughter, Ke'Arlyn Denae Anderson, born Monday, October 23, 2000, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia.

Weighing five pounds and eight ounces, Ke'Arlyn Denae was 19 inches in length. Her grandparents are Shella Evans of Arkadelphia, Dwight Evans of Malvern and Charles and Annie Jean Anderson of Gurdon.

The word of the month for November at Gurdon Primary School is loyalty, meaning to be faithful and dependable to others. Each month at GPS students will learn about the word of the month. October's word was responsibility. Characterrific' students are caught showing the character word in action.

Arkansas Rehabilitation Services will hold sessions on Nov. 10 and 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Gurdon Municipal Building. For more information call 353-2514.

Angelic Voices Gospel Choir from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia will be performing at Muldrew Chapter C.M.E. Church at Fourth and Jones Streets in Gurdon Sunday, Nov. 12, at 3:00 p.m. Many other performers will appear for this fall musical. Everyone is invited to attend.

Gurdon's recycling trailer will be open Saturday, Nov. 4, at 8:00 a.m. through 12:00 noon.

Business and Professional Women's regular monthly meeting is held the second Thursday of each month at 12:00 noon at Arkadelphia Baptist Medical Center cafeteria. Any interested women is invited to attend.

Saturday, November 4, Arkadelphia Business and Professional Women will hold its second annual Holiday Bazaar. The club is still looking for crafters or other gift makers or sellers to purchase booth space. BP&W will have a breakfast and lunch concession available.

The Red Springs Extension Homemakers Club meets every second Thursday of each month at the Gurdon Municipal building beginning at 10:00 a.m. Any interested person is welcome to attend.

The city of Gurdon reminds residents the storm sirens are tested every Wednesday at 12:00 noon. Sirens are not tested during inclement weather.

Gurdon Masonic Lodge 187 meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. All members are urged to attend.
