Rosston NewsMARGUERITE WILLIAMSPublished Wednesday, November 1, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Bro. J.P. Jones has been doing a good job filling in until we can get a pastor. We have really enjoyed his teaching. We have had company part of the week so I don't know much news. A school friend of mine from northeast Oklahoma has been in St. Michael Hospital with heart surgery. Ruth Vinson was taken to the emergency room at Medical Park Hospital in Hope by ambulance Sunday, but was brought back home. She is supposed to go back tomorrow. Remember her in your prayers. Bro. Jimmy Hart is in Willis Knighton Hospital in Shreveport waiting to hear from a biopsy. He is due to have an arterigram tomorrow. Pray that test will turn out good. We surely did enjoy Union Hill Sunday night at our church. Bro. Ray Bowman rendered some specials and also Jeff and Tara Carlton. Roscoe and I attended great grandson Wren Williams' first birthday at his home in Texarkana Wednesday. We enjoyed cake and ice cream and chips and dip with 25 family members. Everyone had a good time and he received lots of nice gifts. Max Morman has been taken to the emergency room at Hope twice this week and tomorrow his son, Maxie, will take him to the veterans hospital in Little Rock. Please remember him as he is having lots of pain. Our company, Bernice Salisbury Siegrist of Oklahoma, and Roscoe and I attended the Forest Festival in Gurdon yesterday. We went on to Arkadelphia and had lunch at Bowen's. Saturday night Clifford and Jane Cox of Hope were our supper guests. Bob Fairchild of North Little Rock visited with us a couple of times this week. He is here deer hunting. Our neighbor, Joey Wallace, killed a deer this week. Good luck to all the hunters.
