William C. 'Bill' EgglestonBRAZZEL / CORNISH FUNERAL HOME of PRESCOTTPublished Wednesday, November 1, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune William C. Bill' Eggleston, 80, of Sutton died Monday, October 30, 2000, at his home. Mr. Eggleston was born January 4, 1920, in Williamson County, Texas, to Clarence and Tollie Eggleston. He oversaw the family timberland interests and other investments. He was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church, having served many years as chairman of the trustees for the church and the cemetery. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II, having served as a B-17 bomber radio operator in the European Theater. He came to Arkansas in 1967 for employment in the automobile industry and stayed to go into business for himself. He was a member of Whitfield Masonic Lodge 239, 32nd degree Mason Scottish Rite, Scimitar Shrine Temple, Royal Order of Jesters Court 12, Royal Arch Mason DeRoan Order of Jesters Court Order of Eastern Star 328. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jon Edward Eggleston. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Wren Eggleston of Sutton and one son, Jon Wren Eggleston of Sutton. Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, November 1, at 2:00 p.m. at Harmony United Methodist Church in Sutton with Rev. Jerry Westmoreland officiating.
