Ahleen Faye Hurst HughesRUGGLES - WILCOX FUNERAL HOME of ARKADELPHIAPublished Wednesday, November 1, 2000 in the Gurdon Times Ahleen Faye Hurst Hughes, 70, of Curtis died Saturday, October 28, 2000, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. Mrs. Hughes was born October 28, 1930, in Arkadelphia, the daughter of the late Greely and Lilly Nix Hurst. She was retired from Levi Strauss Co. in Arkadelphia. Mrs. Hughes the widow of Carlie Hughes. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Colleen Helton, Eva Nell Stinson, Peggy Mansfield and Jean Dalton. Survivors include three sons, Carlie Hughes Jr. and his wife Vickie of Clinton, Clifton Hughes and his wife Becky of Curtis and James Hughes and his wife Ann of Arkadelphia; three daughters, Brenda Colvin and her husband Jerry of Aurora, Color., Carline Palmer and her husband Jerry of Curtis; Phyllis Prince and her husband Bill of Bismarck; three sisters, Louise Kirkpatrick of Curtis, Margie Thompson of West Helena and Helen Worthey of Conway; 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, October 30, in Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Arkadelphia with Rev. Virgil Martin officiating. Burial was in Harts Chapel Cemetery near Arkadelphia.
