Bro. J.P. Jones of Willisville brought our message Sunday morning at church. Bro. Petie brought the message that night and baptized Timmy Potts following the service. Afterward we had a finger food fellowship for Bro. Petie, Laura and the boys, who are moving, and gave them a love offering. They got almost everything moved this week. We had lots of Timmy's relatives from Texarkana as guests.

Sue Husser will be at our church Saturday for a ladies' retreat. We will have a sandwich and salad luncheon and a silent auction. Everyone is invited.

Roscoe went to the doctor in Texarkana Tuesday of last week with vertigo problems. He is much better and went back Monday for an MRI on his middle ear at St. Michael in Texarkana.

Ruth Vinson got out of rehab at St. Michael this week and is at home. We've missed her in church.

Tommie Lew Jarvis went Thursday and got her stitches removed at Southern Clinic in Hope. She is doing pretty good. Sister Daisy is still staying with her and Wayne.

Roscoe and I attended a birthday party for great grandson, Tyler, of Texarkana at one of the parks on Saturday afternoon. Eighteen family members and a few little friends enjoyed cake, ice cream and Coke with him. He received lots of useful gifts and money as well as toys. He was seven years old.

Marva Baldwin has been in the Hope hospital with kidney problems and was transferred to St. Michael in Texarkana this afternoon. She underwent tests Monday. Please pray for her.

Rosston church is sponsoring a gospel singing Saturday night at 7 p.m. Union Hill will be the featured singers. Everyone is invited.

Lyn Dean Morman attended the beautiful wedding of Kyle and Jennifer Bebee at the Presbyterian Church in Hope Saturday afternoon. The reception was held at the Hope Country Club.

For how great is his goodness and how great is his beauty. Zech. 9:17. Have you looked around at the beautiful trees. This is my favorite time of the year.

I had a call this week from Marzell Harton King of Houston and also one from Bill Greer of Jacksonville, Fla. They both get the Picayune and were from this area. It's good to hear from people who live away and they tell me how good it is to get news from home.
