Victor P. BlountBRAZZEL / CORNISH FUNERAL HOME of PRESCOTTPublished Wednesday, October 25, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Victor P. Blount, 81, of Emmet died Wednesday, October 18, 2000, at Hillcrest Care and Rehab in Prescott. Mr. Blount was born October 7, 1919, in Bluff City to William and Maggie Mae Brown Blount. He was a retired logger, member of Grace Baptist Church and an army veteran during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David Blount; a brother, Jessie Blount; and two sisters, Winnie Mae Blount and Laurene Key. Survivors include his wife, Mae Moseley Blount of Emmet; one son, Bennie P. Blount and Delight of Murfreesboro; four daughters, Carolyn Davis Hill of Arkadelphia, Donna Surles and Mike of Roggen, Col., Sandra Almand of Hope, and Teri Glass of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Bobby Blount of Camden; two sisters, Thelma Mallugan of Texas and Josephine Taylor of Arkadelphia; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, October 20, at Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with Rev. Bennie Blount and Rev. Oliver McKamie officiating.
