Willie and I spent last week in Hope Medical Park and St. Michael's Hospital in Texarkana. Willie was the patient. We appreciate the phone calls, visits and prayers. Hopefully everything will be alright.

Elsie Elmore returned home last week from a visit with her son, Malvern, and Lou Elmore and Steve of Winnsboro, Texas, and her brother and his wife, Joel and Juanita Ridgell, of Camby, Texas.

We extend our sympathy to the family of Jim Long. He passed away in Texas. Memorial services were Monday. Jim was the husband of Wanda Lucas and lived several years in our community.

Mr. and Mrs. James Earl Henry of Marshall, Texas, Syble Brown and Judy Allen visited Mary Ann and J.D. Lucas during the week.

Lenord and Faye House, Louise Crayne and Ruth Newton visited their sister, Lillian Crane, of Hope one day last week.

Carl and Sue Maxwell of Gurdon visited Pete and Cathryn Jester and Jimmy Joe Sunday afternoon.

Andrew Ridgell, Ashley Beck and Josh Ridgell spent part of the weekend with papaw Herbie Ridgell.

Annie Mae Hooks is out of the Health South Rehab in Texarkana and is with her daughter, Agatha Cowart, and her husband, Lyndon, of Ashdown.

Elizabeth Wicker of Benton is spending a few days with her sister, Charlene Wicker. Sunday afternoon they visited Charlene's daughter, Cherri Jordan, and her great grandsons, Brock and Brent Jordan, who were home for the weekend from college.
