Fair Hill NewsBARBARA CORNELIUSPublished Wednesday, October 18, 2000 in the Nevada County Picayune Last week's news We had a wonderful time Sunday at the annual October dinner. Every year we have a family get together to celebrate all the birthdays in October. It all started years ago with our Grandpa Warren and Grandma Lillie Glass. They both had birthdays this month. The children decided to continue to get together in memory of them. There were about 80 people present. Dillon Riddling came in from Texas to visit his dad, grandmother and other family members. He came in Friday and returned home Sunday. Carol Ridling attended her class reunion Saturday at the Prescott Country Club. Saturday night Carol and Dakota had supper with Bill Ridling. This week's news The weather has changed to the better; hope you all are enjoying it. Flossie Martin is in St. Michael's Hospital at Texarkana. Hopefully she will be coming home this week. Aaron Morton turned 14 years old Thursday. We had a birthday tent party Friday night with 11 boys here. They enjoyed a game of football, music and sitting around the campfire. Hot dogs, chips, dip, cookies, cupcakes, punch, Coke and a birthday cake with a hunting scene on it were served. Early Saturday morning they were all ready to have more fun. Happy birthday, Aaron. Emily and Lauren Byrd were in Little Rock at the State Fair to show off their goats and hogs. Both of them received ribbons. Larry and Jayne Morrow's son Chris came in Monday for a two-week visit. Genola Cornelius spent Saturday and Sunday with her daughter, Jayne Morrow. Carol Ridling will be celebrating her 29th birthday Thursday. Happy birthday, Carol.
